Change of Social meeting venue and meeting day

Dear members,

Some of you may know that our social meeting venue, the Bob Paisley bar and lounge in the Hetton Centre closed on Friday evenings a couple of weeks ago as they were running at a loss, albeit it will continue to open for functions, and our Awards and Reunion event is booked there on Friday December 7^th.

A few of us searched the area for an alternative venue, the outcome is that we have returned to Houghton Rugby Club in Dairy Lane for our social meetings.

As of next week, we will meet there 1^st and 3^rd Mondays in the month from 6.30pm, we fully understand that this is a change to our normal weekly Friday meetings, but we felt that change was necessary and might encourage more members to come along.

So, the meeting dates until the end of the year are……….

Monday August 31^st is a Bank Holiday so no meeting.

Monday September 7^th

Monday September 21^st

Monday October 5^th

Monday October 19^th

Monday November 2^nd

Monday November 16^th

Monday November 30^th ( because Monday December 7^th isn’t available)

Friday December 4^th is our Awards and Reunion night at the Hetton Centre starting 7pm

Monday December 14^th (Then we will have a Christmas break)

2027 dates will be published later this year.

We do hope that the new meeting venue and dates meet with your approval, and of course we hope to see you then.
